From a not so distant past ...

There is a three shots taken at the Heritage Park, Calgary, Alberta. It was their last big week-end (and Thanksgiving at the same time) and there was a lot of people.

We went there early in the morning so it was kind of quiet until lunch time.

No HDR, just a bit a adjustments in Acrobat Raw Converter and some cropping.

Gilles, nice title or not those are excellent photos.

You probably already know this but those original gas pumps pumped the gas into that clear tank so customers could see how much they were getting. This was before any local government "Weights and Measures" offices that would test the accuracy of pumps like they do now.

Gilles, I think they were used in the 1920's, long before any of us in this forum were born.

Lovely pictures, the deep blue sky and contrast on the first one is just beautiful.

The 3rd picture is a the best.

Regards.

Dittos, that mirrors my first impression in looking at the shots. #3 really captures the look and feel of a beautiful autumn day in the country.

Thanks a lot! I am really trying to work on my post-processing when I am shooting Jpg/Raw. Too bad I don't have the full version of Adobe Raw Converter since I am using PE 9.0

Gilles, I believe the ACR that's in PE is not disabled in its capabilities - at least it wasn't in the past. It is just limited to RAW files, whereas the ACR in PShop or Lightroom can also be used on JPEGs.
