Saw a wee article in this weeks AP magazine regards Oly UK hinting of raising camera and lens prices although I didn;t read what cameras and lens they were planning to up the price on. I think they'd be stupid to do so, eps if it was on the Top pro/mid Pro lenses or on any of the DSLRs.

Actually, I heard from someone today that Canon prices in Canada are really going up, as high as 15%. Olympus prices are still low here though (for now).

Hi Mike
I think the price rise from Oly UK was about the same, although I'll check the magazine today to confirm. I can't see how they can justify the price rise, esp in the UK where we always seem to pay way over the odds. Cheers Harj |

Hi Guys
Price hike of 15% was supposed to happen first April on all DSLR lenses and accessories and to UK customers only. Apparently its down to the falling price of the GBP against the Euro - as if some of the lenses here weren;t over priced as it was. The 300mm F2.8 costs nearly $10,000 if bought in the UK! Cheers Harj |

Wow Gwillys: i thought I had a lot oflegacy OMZuiko lens, but you are the champ. (But you need the sweet, small Zuiko 100mm. It's such a compact size with great optics, it's a pleasure to carry around. I also would not give up the Zuiko 28mm.)
But I would have to empty a closet to hold all the lens you listed!!! Steven R. |
