Default Olympus Evolt E-500 Battery

ok.. This has happened twice and very annoying.

Battery is new, fully charged. Leave the camera sitting overnight and the next day the camera will not power on.

Remove the battery, re-insert, still nothing.

Insert a different battery and camera comes to life.

Is there a reason why the camera would drain the battery when its not on? It has done this twice to two different batteries.

This makes me love my Pentax DSLR even more as it uses AAs. But got this camera as a really good deal and wanted to give it a try.

That is not normal. Sounds like a problem internally with the on/off switch that would require a trip to Olympus. That may be why it was such a good deal!
