Olympus and the rose

Hi gang: Just wanted to share a quick photo of a neighbor's rose. This is exactly how it came straight out of the camera. No PP, no cropping. What you see is the jpeg straight from the camera. It was just a quick shot one morning while the natural dew was still on the plant.

Nice shot Steven. Did you use the built in flash or an external one?

This was a quick shot with an E-330, the 24-42mm Zuiko, and the buillt-in flash. I currently carpool with this lady, and just took a couple of quick shots of the rose which grows in the front of her house before we left for work. No set-ups, no pre-planning, just quick shots and let the E-330 do the work. (Both shots came out good.)

Wish I could claim it was talent, but I just tripped the shutter, the E330 did all the work.

Thanks for posting a great shot, Steven-

The color is great. Perhaps a bit of fill flash? Thanks for confirming that you used the E-330 camera and the built-in flash.

Have a great day.

Hi Sarah Joyce:
"Perhaps a bit of fill flash? "

Yes, you guessed right on that. On such photos I usually choose 1/16
fill-flash, and I think that is what I used on thse shots. The exif shows ISO-100, F8, 42mm focal length, and exposure time of 1/80 sec.
