Default River Morning

I had a busy "photography day" yesterday. I took the Riverwalk Trail down to the Republican River in the morning and got some shots of the river. This area is just a couple of miles from Milford Dam, so the water level fluctuates quickly depending on how much water is being released from the lake. Right now the river level is low since they are holding back a lot of the lake inflow. The Republican dumps into the Kansas River near this area, the Kansas in turn flows into the Missouri--and we all know about the flooding taking place on the Missouri, so not much is being released at Milford right now. The Republican is a sandy river, so the water is nice and blue.
