Some E5 portraits

Shot these today with the E5 and either the 12-60 or 50-200 SWD's. FL50R for fill flash. Captured RAW and processed in ACR. Layers and Layer Masks were used to both soften the overall image, but keep the important areas sharp and there was additional re-touching to clear facial blemishes, but I did try to not overdo it.

With lots of direct sun, I worked at shooting in backlight to relegate facial lighting to the flash to keep the exposure even and liked the resulting highlights in the hair.

Good morning Greg,

You no doubt, have the E-5 fully under control, but also understand how to get the most out of CS5 as the subjects in this series look very natural. The skin tones and hair look very natural and don't look at all over processed as some portraits I've seen. Especially, given the bright sun

HI Greg

I like those a lot .. the two of them look nice and relaxed in front of the camera. Nice use of the flash and the sun for lighting, the 2nd pic could have used a reflector to their right just to fill in a wee bit but these are really cool. The retouching is just fine.. If you hadn;t mentioned it, I wouldn't have guessed that anything like that had been done - thats all I like to do as well.. just fix the blemishes and f the image is too sharp just to soften it a litttle (ie. way too much detail in the skin).

Cheers

Harj
