Pretty bird Cincy, good composition, nice pose and background. Just seems a little soft, as in not as sharp as I'd like to see.
But I'd keep it! |

I agree with Scouse. I feel you croped it a little to much adding to the softness of the photo. Keep shooting, you are going it the right direction.

Hi Richard
Nice attempt esp when considering how hard it is to shoot the little critters - I've yet to get a single decent shot ! - I need to get my mits on the 70-300 just for birding and animals etc. Cheers HarjTT :O :G |

Hi Richard,
Nice 1st effort with the 70-300mm lens. It's become my favorite to use these days. A fewsuggestions: 1, If you haven't already, when you have a minute, read the Olympus School tutorial on shooting birds with longtelephoto lens. Here's the link: http://www.olympusdigitalschool.com/...phy/index.html 2, Then go out and take lots of shots :| 3, Have tons of fun Zig |

Hi Richard: have fun experimenting with your telephoto.Don't hesitate to try new things.
Also remember that you can get an interesting photo, even without including the whole bird. I zoomed in on the flamingo's head to emphasize the waterdrops; felt it was a betterthana static shotof the whole bird. Steve R |
