Sunday Walk In Central Park

I went to Central Park early Sunday morning to test my "new" 50-200mm (non SWD).

It is great place to relax, walk and take pictures.

I hope you like it.

I saw a bunch of people looking and taking pictures of Palemale and Paula, two hawks living on the front of a luxurious building on 5th Avenue. They are celebrities in NYC and according with some information I found in the internet a movie about this two hawks is going to be released soon.

This is a 100% crop from the picture above. You can see Palemale is there.

Marcelo very nice... esp the 3 and 4 .. No 4 u nailed spot on.

NYC is looking pretty tempting!

That Canon Rig .. just looks huge...plus he's lugging around that tripod too. Wonder how the 300F2.8 compares to that beastie in size ?

PS

Just checked the price .. theres 3 versions of 400 f2.8 at 7600 or 10,500 (14" length x 6.4" max [email protected]) while the 300F2.8 (11.1" length x 5.1" max [email protected]) is 6500 at BH.

Great work Marcelo.

Your images are a teaser for me as I'm going to be in Manhattan the first week of May visiting friends that live near Amsterdam and 89th. This will be our 4th trip to NYC in the last 4 years and I always look forward to going into Central Park early in the morning before the crowds.

I've posted some of my photos in a gallery. If you're interested, you can see them here:

Nice stuff, Marcelo!

Thank you Harj, NYC is a very photogenic city, you will find something to shoot in every corner.

I saw Lincoln Karim walking, he was holding the tripod and the lens was on his shoulders, looks very heavy and I think it is bigger and heavier than the 300mm f/2.8.

Did you check his web site ?, those pictures are fantastic.
