Default Thoughts to the 28 victims in Connecticut

My thoughts and my heart breaks for all of those 20 wee kids and 7 adults that lost their lives today in a school in Conneticut today, and the parents and family members that are left behind by this tragedy. May God provide them with the strength, courage and compassion to get over their tragic loss.

PS I realise this is way off topic and not Oly or photography related.

We agree. There is too much violence the world over, but it hurts badly when it hits close to home. You have to wonder about the mental state of those who kill others.

That is so sad. It's every parents nightmare that their kids would be hurt in some freek accident. But getting shot, that's awful.

Thanks for your kind words, Harj. I just can't imagine a parent outliving a child.

One thing we don't immediately think about, was mentioned by the police chief in a press conference yesterday. He said the local hospital was making their professional counselors available to the parents and students, but also to the first responders. No one can be trained for the sight of 5 year old children having been slaughtered.
