Default When Spot Metering Makes Sense

This evening there were lots of blooms just starting to open, and with mucho darker areas around the main subject I switched to spot metering with my E30, dialed in +.7 stops of exposure compensation metered off the white in these next images, used the AE lock to set the exposure, re-composed and captured the files with the 70-300 Zuiko.

Not as necessary, but I did use spot metering here too..

Zoomed in to spot meter off the white in the center of these blooms, then zoomed back to frame and shot..

Glad to have my 12-60 SWD back. Looks like they did a great job too..

More great stuff. I really should learn how to spot meter correctly. With old glass I just change the aperture after I had set the metering until things look right but not really the best way.
