I tried something a little different and replaced the speedlite in the softbox with a full-spectrum 125w equivalent CF light. This one was shot with softbox-only.

On this one, I used the same softbox set-up and a gold reflector I made from a piece of material I cut out from an automotive sun screen. :)

These are both very beautiful pictures but I prefer the second.

Thanks very much, Lordje. I'm still experimenting to see which kind of combinations provide different kinds of light. :)

Six of one, a half dozen for the other. #1 for the bloom, and #2 for the leaves. Both came out excellent.

Thanks what I like about you guys - you make the tough decisions! :D :D

I'm really enjoying working with the softbox. I'm going to start shooting more of this type of shot with the Olys. I *will* figure out why I get so much noise in the black area even at ISO100! :)
