Hi Doug.

Thanks for that wealth of information about lenses and adapters! I leaned a lot from that and subsequent searches.

Hi guys,

I have another question about adapters.

I found this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Brass-NIKON-F-M4...QQcmdZViewItem

Here's an excerpt from their description:

"It will allow you to useyour older NIKON F lenses orpentax m42 lens on the newer digital cameras like the E1, E300, E500. The AF doesn't function but it allows to keep the infinity focus ! the diaphragm functions manually. The photographic exposure meter functions with all the all olympus E1, E300, E500.Using this metal adapter, your 50MM lenswill be100MM lens. your 200MM lens will be 400MM lens.."

They refer to the item as "it" (singular). I'm not sure if it's a grammatical slip or not, but does this mean that this is ONE adapter can handle both Nikon AND Pentax lenses? Is there such a thing, or am I reading this wrong and he's selling 2 separate adapters (one of each brand lens)? :?

Also, is this a good price, either way, since you'd be able to use 2 different brand lenses?

You definitely need DIFFERENT adapters for Pentax lenses and Nikon lenses. That listing is for TWO adapters, one of each Nikon to 4/3, and Pentax to 4/3.

Cirrusgao charges around $25 + shipping for 1 adapter, that listing and the price, is for 2 of them.

Hi Doug!

Thanks for responding.

I just got the email back from the seller, saying that they are two. Makes sense. The way I saw it worded in some parts didn't make sense for it to be the other way.

Hmmm, I'm considering bidding on it, to keep my lens options open....not stuck with just shopping for one brand of used lenses, and the shipping would be cheaper getting more than one adapter at once.
