I'm intrigued by the Leica's newly announced 14-150mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH and wondering what would happen if it were mounted on a body with built-in IS, such as the 510. If both lens and body IS were switched on, would there be any compatibility issues? added benefit or would it even be desirable?

There would be some severe issues if both were on. They won't work in tandem. One would need to be left off.

Yup, they would fight each other.
