I have noticed that there has been little said about Kodak's contribution to the latest new Olympus E's.
Is this because Kodak is no longer a provideing sensors?
If this is the case who is the source of the new sensors and what other cameras are they being used in?
Or, this is a big one, is Olympus making their own Sensor?

TheOlympus E-510 is using the Panasonic Live MOS (CMOS) image sensor which wasfirst seen on the E-330 andPanasonic DMC-L1 dSLRs. This is part of the Olympus-Panasonic partnership announced quite a while ago. The E-510 will feature the new higher resolution 10-megapixel Live MOSsensor.

So has Kodak moved off the Sensor side of the 4/3's team or are they working on something for the new Flag Ship DSLR.
My E-1's have worked flawlessly and the work that Kodak did on that sensor I would think would have gone on to create a sensor at least three times the 5.1 meg that the current sensor has.
Just my opinion

Hi Paul,

here's a wee thought that a few of us had over this - for Live View it looks as if Oly has gone with the pana sensor which isn't a bad thing at all as the nMos sensors are pretty clean all the way up to ISO800/1600. Kodak's been busy with building the sensor for the M8 and the E400 but how much imput they'll have with Oly is anybodies guess.

More than likely Kodak doesn't have MOS technology but instead only has CCD technology.

Rumour is Panasonic has been doing stuff for Olympus from the begining, like producing the FL-36/50 flashes.
