Hi Riley

I saw the Foveon rumour over at LL but I'm not sure that the P1 will use it simply due to the liveview that the EP1 will have. Unless sigma has a version that can do LV and if thats the case it could well be Oly using it but then again it we could well see Nikon going for it just to break their reliance on Sony for their sensors.

Cheers

:O :?

FWIW the DP1 has the same sensor as the the dSLR SD14,
but as its a point and shoot (for want of a better description)

Now thats interesting if the P&S has the same Foveon sensor and thus can easily do LV then I can see Sigma ( a 4/3 member) potentially offering it to Oly for the E1P. The only thing that they would need to do is some how beat the MP race, something that Sigma will need to do for the SD14.

Cheers

while the resolution can leave you gobsmacked there are issues
noise isnt any better than the CCD versions, some would say worse
just how far can you push these images in print, because they are small

theyre saying over at dpreview, that there's another sensor for P1
that doesnt come from a current 4/3 supplier
might be a Fuji is my thought
but foveon fits too, and thats the long odds money
