I spent this weekend visiting old friends in Leiden, Holland. It was a very short trip and the first day was very cold and overcast but well worth it and I'll be planning more. Here's a few shots from the trip:

1. Leiden central Station:

2. Sunset over the old Rhine - handheld, ISO 100, F7.1 @ 1/5s.

3. Let the music play

4. Saturday Market

5. A cruise

6. The Canals

I took quiet a few pics - just under 300 which for me is a bit crazy. Some of the other shots that I've finished PP can be found here:

Hi Riley

It was my first visit to Holland and like you said its a pretty vibrant place. I was really suprised by the number bicycles and how they just seem to be equal to motor traffic which you know is very different to the UK. Defientely due another visit.

Cheers

yes everyone has a bike there
its pretty flat, streets can be narrow and cars cost a bomb to run
they seem to revel in all things small including the hotel room !

Hi John, Sarah and Gaggu

Thanks for the comments on the shots. I've put all the shots that I've managed to go through from Holland into its own gallery:
