The E-500 is a solid DSLR with a good feel. Which lens (or lenses) did you choose?

Knowing me I will. This will be my first dSLR and also the first that has over 4 MP.

Stowaway, I got the Zuiko 14-45 and 40-150 kit. When I get the hang of it and all, I have the Macro lens on my list of lenses to get. That is AFTER I get used to the camera and the 2 lenses I am getting.

Hey, congratulations.

I just did the same thing a couple of weeks ago...with the same lens kit. My first SLR since my old, once trusty, non-digital Canon AE1.

I'm loving it.

Very easy to use with the different preset modes.

And, I'm going to take my sweet time getting back into controlling functions myself, although I ordered a couple of books to help me on my way.

E-500 seems to be a very good camera, now sold (body only) for € 299, with 14-45 for € 406 in Europe

Congrats! I just bought the same package a couple of months back and have been loving it very much! I was extremely pleased with the ease of use and how un-complicated everything is. This is also my first dSLR. I remember a couple of years back someone was showing me their Canon dSLR and I couldn't make heads or tails of it. I suspect that's not the case anymore but the E500 is fantastic.
