First of all Good Morning to everybody guy :-) i'm an italian stop motion animator.
Recently i've bought a Olympus SLR E-10 wonderfull camera; i've payed not too much 120 euros (about 150$) second hand.
On this wonderfull site i find the link to download InPhoto SLR a specific software for Olympus SLR when there are also included in the cameras supported the E-10;
Now...i've wrote to the creators of software to have a demo of his software, but haven't reply (there are some guy have trial demo of Inphoto SLR?? ) anyway i've downloaded at this page http://www.akond.net/index.php?issue_id=163
the olympus camera control a software to install before the InPhoto SLR.
So i've installed but don't recognize my camera as connected!!!
My questions are:
I think is for the problem of disk storage, wich start when turning on the camera...there are a hidden menu or something else to start the camera as PC MODE, or install some twain driver?
The software CAMERA CONTROL are necessary with INPHOTO software or for the E-10 the installation are different? (the drivers necessary are in the software)
There are someone as tried the software INPHOTO SLR?
There are a software PC/MAC/LINUX to control my E-10 from computer?
Thank you
Gabriele

From what I can see looking through third party remote control software, the E-10 is not supported. So, chances are, you're not going to find a product that allows you to control if via a PC.

You'll see some remote control software products shown on this page:

http://www.steves-digicams.com/digso...ameractrl.html

But, popular products that work with Olympus do not show the E-10.

For example, this page has lists of the SDK (Software Developer Kit) versions needed to work with a specific camera models, and does not show the E-10 as supported by any of them for remote control:

If they claim they support it, then I'd ask them why it's not working.

But, the remote control products I've checked so far do not include support for this camera. So, it's probably an error (the E-100 appears to have that ability, but not the E-10 from what I can see from looking other products).

Not all cameras have the ability to be controlled from a PC.

Not for the E-10 that I'm aware of.
