My wife snapped this with her new E3 and 12-60mm yesterday - generally road blocks in mountain communities are from avalanches but this one from Rocky Mountain Sheep enjoying a tasty (at least they like it) treat from Magnesium Chloride put down to clear snow.

............it just doesn't get any prettier than that! Great photo, thanks for sharing, and congratulations. The E3 and 12-60 combo is one terrific setup.

Nice shot. I am a Pentax owner but two of my friends use Olympus E500s. One of them can't wait to get himself an E3.

They are really fat and sassy aren't they? LOL. Every year at about this time they use the Magnesium Chloride for a salt-lick.
One has to be very careful driving in the area because you come around a bend and a whole herd are in the middle of the road.
There were about 50 sheep in this group.

Best regards,

Lin

Sherry say's "thanks!" It's really a nice camera - she is letting me borrow it today and she may have to pry it out of my grasp - LOL.

Best regards,

Lin

Great image Lin. You'll have to show more photos taken by your wife. ;-)

Did you use a bit of USM or other to improve the contrast/sharpness? I would have expected a bit "flatter" image than that from most modern DSLR models.

I'm sure your wife loves the new E-3. Please keep us posted with impressions of it.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

Yes - I'll have to post some more of Sherry's shots - she's pretty good with a camera and really likes this new E3.

I suspect she converted it from RAW because she generally shoots in RAW. She has both Adobe ACR and Olympus conversion software so I'm not sure what she used.

Best regards,

Lin
