Does anyoen know how to do a factory reset on the E1 ? Can't seem to work it out and have not found anything in the manual either.

........to me it reads as if one should have three(3) thumbs on the left hand to hold the buttons while twisting the knob dial with the right hand all the while just hoping to be able to read the LCD display.

Hi Bob

Thanks for the tip - its done the reset and now I'm hoping it will behave - its enabled the sound when AF is confirmed which is good as its been really struggling with the 35-100F2 and at least I'll know that I have a focus lock before I shoot (although I'd rather have it tunred off but for any studio work it'll do).
