Hi all,

Just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you who responded to my request for info on the 70-300mm. Your contributions have certainly provided me with enough data with which to make an informed buying decision.

Looks likea 70-300mm purchaseis in my near future

Even though the 70-300mm is not a macro lens, it's minimum focal distance is short enoughto allow real good macro shots @ 300mm. Here are some fav. I took a week or so ago...

Hi Guys

From the looks of pics posted on the forum the 70-300 looks like its a very useful lens, esp when you consider the price and the IQ that its helping to get. Could be quiet tempting!
