The E3 was added to the lineup E1, E510 and glass 11-22,150F2,35-100F2, 7-14, 14-54. I work most with E1 but the E3 is rapidly taking over. Looks like I start using E1 with 150F2 and E3 with 35-100F2, mainly I thing E3 is so strongly build that it supports the heavy 35-100 with ease. As I like to play with DOF I work the F2's most.

However, the learning of the E3 takes some dooing and getting used to, while E1 was a song.

Is it my age or is E3 hard to get to?

Hi Terp,

I forced myself to use the E3 instead of the e1 so that I could get used to the new camera. I'm now using the E3 nearly all teh time and the E1's my back up camera. The balance with the 35-100F2 and E3 is just perfect - a lot better than with the E1. Shifting the lens away from the left and adding that grip really has improved the handling - esp when previewing shots on the LCD.

Cheers

Harj

Hi Harj,

What do you mean by "shifting the lens to the left"?

Hi Terpinine

With the E1 the lens is mounted practically flush with the left hand side of the camera body (I still like this design and sort of wish they had stuck to it) but with the E3/E4XX/E5XX the lens mount is not so far to the left of the body - more like your Canon/Nikon bodies.

Cheers

Harj

Hi Harj,

Sorry, I misunderstood. The E3 is so strong and balanced that 35-100 almost never parts, exept for 7-14.
