I see that the new E-420 has "Shadow Adjustment Technology for greater detail in the shadows "& "improved dynamic range ".

Considering that my intentions are to shot only in RAW , will these improvements make a differencecompared tothe E-410 ?

With a Nikon D300 you can tweak the "d-lightning" feature while shooting RAW , the results are very impressive .

Hi: the "shadow adjustment technology" was introduced first on some Olympus point & shoot cameras; i.e. the Stylus 780, etc. With the E420,it does apparently increase the dynamic range. Basically it will probably save some post processing timeon your raw shots.

I found some test shots with a pre-production 420, and it seems to bevery effective.

Ok so it will save me time but not really improve the result ?

Post treatment in RAW without such a feature would eventually come out just as good :?

My point being , would i have the same results with a E-410 if i only shoot RAW ???
