Not it's not a California bar come on, It's my Taurus Rhody. I have one either side of the front entry to the deck, compliments of my wife for my Birthday a couple or 10 years ago!

The Taurus blooms late April (Like now) until mid May, same time as the zodiak constellation.

I was heading out today, noticed how bright they looked even on an overcast day so went back for the Camera. E500, 14-45mm kit lens.

And took this:

Thanks Steve,

True confession time, I didn't want to sound dumb before.

You know, I'm still getting used to this camera and I've been so happy just shooting in HQ and SHQ JPEG that I've never looked at RAW. One reason being is that I thought one had to do a lot of post playing around in programs that I'd need 4 years of college to understand. :?Yes I have PS CS2. But not a lot of time.

So I shot this one in RAW and opened it up in "Picasa" (Hey! It was free) I was pretty happy with it right out of the camera so I copied it to JPEG and sized it down so it would fit the format to post here...One click!!! It went from a:

RAW file of 13.4 MB @ 2856 x 2284 file to a:
JPEG file of 136 KB @ 800 x 640 and it still looked pretty good...to me.

You learn something new every day, doncha....!
