Just got an e-mail from my food stylist friend and shes told me that some of the pics I took of the Frnech Restaurant "Bloody French" about 6 weeks ago were published with the article that she wrote for a magazine in France. The only bummer is that the mag didn;t put my name down as the photographer - a little peeved that they didn;t but hey I'm happy they used the pics and she got her article publsihed. Not sure when I get a copy of the magazine but hopefully soon!

Cheers

Hi Zig

I've got no idea until I get my mits on the magazine which pics they used and theres a good chance they may be just postage size as well but I think its going to be one or two of these ( i sent then 15 pics and they were going to choose 2-3):

Cheers

Congratulations Harj. It must be exciting to have your work published, even if they didn't credit you.

Hey, Harj, that's great that they will publishyour photos!

I don't know much about copyright laws in the EU (or in the US for that matter), but in the future can you require that you are credited with the photos? In the US the magazine could get into legal trouble if they don't have model releases from any people who are "recognizable" in a published photo.

Also I have another question - is "Bloody French" really the name of the restaurant, or just how folks in England refer to it? Just kidding...

Hi Ted

When i was first told the restaurants name it just went in one ear and out the other as I thought there is no way anyone would call a French restaurant that name - not even an Englishmen, well any who didn;t want any aggro from the French! Only when I actually saw the sign did I realise that it was for real.

I really didn;t think too much about getting paid as long as I had a cerdit for the shot and I've asked my friend to get them to add my name if they reprint the article.

Cheers

Harj
