Interesting. That's not the way wildlife biologists tag birds, so it may be something that got stuck when he was pecking at some garbage for food; like at a picnic area or something. Or maybe you photographed an alien bird from outer space!!

There's always that isn't there...:?

The more I think about it the more I think that the "Gentleman" up the road had a box of birds shipped in for his new coop. It was made from broken down shipping pallets and reclaimed 2x4s. I personaly think that the bird was smarter than him. I believe that the ring is something that breeders use.

Sounds logical, I'm not familiar with bird breeder techniques. Wonder what the market is for Bob Whites??
