This is a follow-up to a string I started earlier asking about the use of these lenses on these cameras.

My latest question: Do either of these lenses, because of their size, block proper distribution of light from the built-in flash? I know there is an issue with these lenses on the smaller E-410/420. But the built-in flash does sit higher on the E-510/520.

Also, since I won't be able to extensively test the 12-60mm versus the 14-54mm lens before purchasing, does anyone own or have access to both of these lenses? Anecdotally, if I can get a 14-54mm for, say, $500 with the 12-60mm going for $900+, is the newer lens worth the extra money - on this camera?

I'm not asking anyone to make my decision for me. I'm just looking for some honest input from those who have spent some time with these lenses.
