Hey Steven,

Sounds like Fay made landfall at Cape Romano at 5 this morning.Thankfully apretty fair distance South of you. Based on what I'm reading, Fay looks like it's weakening a bit and moving towards the northeast.

Good luck riding the storm out.

Regards,

Zig

I appreciate all those replies also. I use photobucket right now, my needs are pretty simple just uploadng shots to the couple of forums in and family. Flikr was somewhat similar and just as easy to work with.

I have however been thinking of an account for some of the better! work and for storage. I like what I see from Harj and Greg with smugmug so I may sign on and open an acct.there soon.

Hi Guys: Again thanks for all your information.

Just a quick personal funny update:I spent an hour or more yesterday eveningmoving lanaifurniture and small plants, etc to the garage. And today the storm went to the east of us. We did not even get any rain today, while counties to the east were getting soaked.

Well.....you guys do have those volcanos that blow from time to time!

They're telling us this next hurricane, assuming their projected path is right,is going to create some massive rain and windeven up here in Dallas.

To Greg & BobB et all: We'll be thinking of you with Hurricane Ike coming your way. Stay dry and good luck. Take some photos of the storm and share them with us.

PS to Jack55 in Tacoma: I had several gigs in Seattle over the years. I think that once or twice I even saw the sun peek out behind a cloud! LOL!

:-)

....thanks Steven,

I am some 30 miles West of Greg, the storm surge is predicted to flow a few miles East of Dallas (Greg). We are about 300 miles from Galveston. Ike is really a big one for sure. This it the first time in the 34 years I've lived in Arlington that a hurricane has had this kind of influence on our immediate area, that I remember.

Rain is predicted for 2-6+ inches here with wind to 50+ MPH, right now at 0730 the wind is about 15-20 mph and slowing increasing, no rain yet.

Thanks for thinking of us, we're good here, please do hope the best for the people who are in the direct way of Ike.
