..........I agree with color choice black vs. red but my question was relative to the reflector face finish type.

"The black back has a matte white surface; the red back has a glossy white surface."

I'm not sure what difference it would make. I have no idea if this isthe caseor not, but it seems like a matte surface would not produce as harsh a reflection as aglossy one.

.....that was/is my thinking too Greg.

I've not gotten one yet but I do think of it every time I rubber band a paper 'better bounce' cutout to the flash.

Well,

I finally ordered my Demb Flash Pro.

I was going to order it last week, but a lens on ebay caught my eye. I finally decided that I wanted the bounce + diffuser more.

I ended up getting both the black & red cards to play with.

(I emailed Demb Flash Products & Joe answered back that the red did have a small - ie. 1/8 stop more light.)

I decided I'd be kicking myself and second guessing myself if I didn't get both cards and just play with them to see any difference myself.

If anyone is interested in the difference between the black & red I can follow-up.

Let me know.

Take care, yours truly,
Glen
