I find myself leaning toward the FL-36 as the price right now is pretty good across the web.Thanks for the info as usual guys

Not sure if anyones checked out the Metz 48 A1 flash . pricewise I think its close to Fl36 but feature set is more FL50.

Sorry for the bump but I saw no need to create a new thread.


I got my hands on a FL-36r today for a steal. New in the box for $69 USD. This is waaaaaaaaay below retail so I grabbed the only two that was there. One for keeps and one to sale


Its great so far.....I can finally shoot in low light without fear of overflash.

Promaster 5750 with Olympus module. Lots of power and two heads. Using the front head and then the top head at a 45 degree bounce is pure magic.

Yes sir! CC had a few steals (pun intended). They had a Canon 50D kit for $900 big ones. I near broke my neck trying to get it to the counter....and then I looked inside and the actual camera was missing only the lens. I assumed that it was behind the checkout. So I hauled tail up to the counter only to be told that the body had been stolen
