My wife and I went to our sons house in Portsmouth New Hampshire this year to enjoy Thanksgiving. The following are a few photos taken while driving there and back.

The last shot was a bit of a surprise when we truned a bend on 1A too see around 50 surfers in the water enjoying the day before Thanksgiving in a rather novel way.

Had to add a photo of my grandaughter Elly on Thanksgiving:

Hi Harj,

Much appreciate your kind words.

BTW, do remember to post some shots taken with your new G-1. I'm especiallylooking forward to seeing some street shots taken with it and the 45-200mm lens.

That water had to be cold. I'm not sure a wet suit would have been enough to get me in that water, but I'm no surfer, either..

Cute little granddaughter. I can remember when my daughter was around that age. It was too long ago, and she doesn't pose nearly as well for me any more:sad:.

Hi Greg,

The image of the surfers is as it came out of the camera without any PP. And yes, that was the color of the water which does indeed suggest that the water was very cold. I was quitecold justholding the camera andtaking the picture-never mind getting near the water.

I have 4 grandkids. 3girls and 1 boy. Elly is the only one that allows me to take her photo. All the others run as soon as they see me grab my camera.:GI keep trying though, as they'll be all grown up soon enough.

Hi zig: great pose of your granddaughter. She's really photogenic. Photos 1 thru 3 gave me the shivers just looking at them!!! Brrrr!!! I'm too old for that much cold.

I also took some shots on Thanksgiving day, in my back yard. The weather was a little warmer, I'm sure. Took the E330 out to take advantage of the sunshine.

One of the songbirds out and about on Thanksgiving Day. (Yes, the sky really was that blue.)
