Perhaps it is the national economy in the USA. But, http://www.amazon.com has the ZD 70-300mm lens down to $(US) 283. 00 with free shipping. Olympus Auctions over on Flea Bay is selling E-510 Bodies for less that $(US) 280.00.

There are some rather amazing Olympus bargains available out there right now, even in the week before Christmas! Perhaps other have found even better Olympus bargains. Please post some of the best prices each of you have seen on any Olympus items. 'Tis the season to be jolly! Happy Photos, everyone!

Hi Sarah

There are some pretty amazing prices on some of the Oly kit - the 70-300 and the 510's just seem to be a steal at the current prices considering how good the 70-300 is for price/performance, etc.

Cheers

I agree Harj-

...and I believe that we will see a continuing price drop as we move into the first quarter of 2009.

Happy Holidays!

There is a simple trick to finding great Olympus bargains at a fraction of the normal price.

All you have to do is wait until I buy it first.

Then, about a month after I've paid for it, the price will drop by 40%.

Hey Brent

Now that usually happens to me as well! On a more serious note with the prices dropping for the E5XX/E4XX and the release of the E30 in the new year how much of a price drop is the E3 going to drop by ? The E3 is now over 12 months old and its hardly dropped in price through out that entire time. How realistic can Oly be about the E3's pricing and compete against C/N/Sony by keeping it priced as if its a new cam ?

Cheers

Harj
