We are playing high school baseball and I could not be more happy. Today I made a few files mostly using the 70-300. I plan to use it more this year but I'm very glad the 50-200 is in the bag.

E-3 50-200 @ 200mm f/4.0 ISO 100 -- my grandson

E-3 70-300 @ 300mm f/5.6 ISO 200 -- batting gloves are still matched, it is early season

E-3 70-300 @ 108mm f/5.0 ISO 200 -- 6'5" 15 YO thatsa high leg kick (he is not my grandson)

E-3 50-200 @ 169mm f/3.3 ISO 100 -- COACH

Hi Bob,

Baseball, now that's a subject near and dear to my heart. These are great teaser images. I'm looking forward to seeing lot's more of your grandson this season.

And yes, that's a really high kick!

BTW,I like the B&W.

Don't know if you're into College Baseball but my friend's son, Mark Fleury, is in his junior year at UNC. He's rated 4th on the depth chart on the Tarheels. I was fortunate to be able to see him play last year in the Cape Cod Baseball League. He is someone to watch. A great kid with loads of talent.

.....thanks Zig, I did think of the 'tease factor' knowing how you look forward to the season. I've seen the name Mark Fleury, I do occasionally watch some college ball, I will watch for him.

I did not intend to mislead with text of the young pitcher so added the disclaimer bit.

He is a wonderful young kid and a really talented pitcher at his age. His brother graduated from Grace last year and was drafted in the 7th round by the hometown Texas Rangers. Matt told me yesterday his speed is now at 95 MPH, he leaves for Surprise, AZ next Friday.

We do have fun and photo-ops are happening................

Hi Bob,

Thanks for correcting me. I didn't catch the fact that it wasn't your grandson I was looking at. It didn't look like your grandson. but then, the way kids grow these days, I thought he had a growth spurt.

As for having fun and upcoming photo-opps. I can't wait for the season to begin both for my grandson and MBL. I figure, with the 70-300mm and the 50-200mm, I'm ready for anything.
