Good for you on getting your new (used) camera!!

fine first efforts. Geckos, interesting creatures.

Not sure if you're aware, but Olympus offers photo lessons on various aspects of photography on their website. I mention it because you had said in your earlier post that you wanted to photograph the geckos that you sold. Knowing how to Set up for a shot complete with proper lighting, understanding exposure and depth of fieldwill help you get the most out of your camera. There are also a number of macro tutorials. Here's the link:http://www.olympusdigitalschool.com/...ons/index.html

It will help in shortening the learning curve.

I'm sorry I didn't post earlier, but congratulations on your new camera. I still have the E-500 and still like what the camera is capable of. You have a nice camera there.

I'm glad your pleased, and there will be much to learn in the months ahead. From what you've posted, your off to a good start. Have fun, and don't be afraid to take lots of pics.Find out what works, and see if you can figure out what went wrong with the ones that don't turn out.

Most of all, have fun and don't expect perfection.
