One of the things I am doing with this latestPhotoshop update is going back to old files from the past where I had a hard time processingone the way I wanted and wound up just leaving the RAW file un- converted.
Here's such a file from June, 2006 in Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, France. Additional sliders in Adobe Camera RAW to individually control highlights, lights, dark and shadows really makes tweeking images like this pretty easy. The tree in the foreground was totally dark and I brought quite a bit of detail from the darker areas to the left of the tree that dominates the background. I also love the way the leaves swirl up the trunk of that tree.
Shot with an E300 and 14-54 f2.8-3.5 Zuiko. I love the colors that come out of an E300.
I also sharpened this image in Adobe Camera RAW vs. after conversion. The file came out of ACR ready to upload.
