Ahhhh boy, and I spent nearly 50 years doing the IT thing where Ted as you just said above and I know too well...... documentation and the clarity of its read is utmost in importance.

So, here goes......it wasn't about the lens, perhaps I should have written, "You luck bird you, not every Cardinal has had this audience. "Oh well", he said and, "thank you ma'am".

I couldn't resist........

I will say, that I think the E30 is a bit noisier than the E-510. This is based on my limited range of shots take with it. So, I'm not sure what is going on. I've got to do some more researching.
Hi, Zig

That surprises me. Let us know what you find out - the E30 should be better at high ISOs than the 510, at least theoretically...

Hi Zig

Nice to seem some fine bird shots .. and the detail and colours are looking good. You might want to check Wrotnaiks site and see if he's done a "how to setup your E30" guide incase there's a setting or two that you might normally just miss out. Interesting to note that the E30 is underexposing too. Have you looked at the the RAW files and used say studio/bibble/ACR/LR to process the files to see if there's a difference in the amount of noise in the in those files.

Cheers

Harj

Great story, Zig! Love the colors in these, and your timing was spot on.

Absolutely super zig.

Photojournalists tell a story with their cameras; I think you qualify. You should send them to a bird magazine.
