Default A Day late and a dollar short

Well, as always happens, just after the contest is over, the female Cardinal that always visits the feeder at dusk when the lighting is almost nil decides to show up a little early.

I've been trying to get a decent shot of this bird for the last couple of weeks. Each time it's almost dark and near impossible to get anything resembling a bird.

Tonight, I put up a sunlamp and shone it on the feeder. That, coupled with the setting Sun provided enough light to finally take a fair shot of the bird.

Well, it's too late for the contest. But I'm happy that I finally got off a good shot...........

She is beautiful! She even turned towards you like she knew you were going to shoot that very second.
