Default E-1 at the track again, and a sad story

Saturday was one hot, humid day at the track, but the horses ran anyway..

During race #6, I shot this next short three shot burst. About 3-4 seconds after this group passed me, the #4 horse broke his right-front leg and threw the rider, who left the track in an ambulance. The horse was surrounded on the track by a canopy and, I am assuming, was destroyed. I didn't stick around to see what happened. I hoped to never see such a think in-person, and hope never to again.

Hi Greg

Those are fantastic..... teh E1's doing a seriously good job there. How many keepers are you getting - looking at those pics posted - theyre sharp, great detail and all are in focus and the colours just look fab.

Cheers

I'm rejecting more images due to being too similar to others rather than to any of them being out of focus. I came home with just over 100 files yesterday and posted around 56, I think, to that folder. I could have, and probably will over time process a few more and upload them. I was just looking to get a best of the best set up last night.

I will sometimes try and frame a little too close and lose a nose or part of a jockey's head or something else due to a last minute movement. I usually will delete those before ever getting home unless there's something else interesting I like about the image.

I think I'm appreciating this E1 more right now than I did when I first bought it.
