Default While on the subject of birds

I frequently visit the gallery of an Olympus dslr user by the name of Laura Pipkin who posts her images on PBase.com. If you've never seen her images of birds, you're in for a treat. They are some of the best captures of birds done with any DSLR, regardless of manufacturer or lens type that I've ever seen. What is most inspiring to me, is that, many are done with the 50-200mm lens and a telecon. Both of which, I already have. Saves me a lot of money from having to buy a Sigma 50-500mm lens.

If you have the time, it's worth the look:

Hi Zig

I just book marked that website.. her bird shots are just fab! I was kind of shocked that she was using an E3! I'm going to visit one of the local zoos...to take a few pictures of the birds their although London Zoo's not my favorite as its just way too small and cramped for my liking but it is the nearest.

Cheers

Harj

......thanks Zig,

I've looked at these photos in the past, actually more than once, and am amazed at the quality of the image and of the composition. I can only imagine doing such myself.

Several of her files were made with an E-510 with a Zuiko 70-300 in front of the EC-20. I see no difference in the files from any of the camera / lens combos.

Default Hi Guys,

I've bookmarked that gallery ever since I found out about it, last year.
She is an inspiration since, as you mentioned Bob, she has done some stellar work with the basic dslr and a budget lens.

Another reminder that 'it an't the camera, it's the person holding it that makes the difference'
