Freedom isn't free. Thanks to those who wear the uniform of their country (any country) and defend that freedom:

Well said John.

And, the photographs speak for themselves.

Default thanks

Thanks Steven, for sharing.

Looks like a Presidential funeral. Would you be so kind as to let us know who the funeral was for.

That was the funeral of Ronald Reagan. I don't think there has ever been a larger crowd for such an event. What you don't see in those photos was that every square foot of space was lined with people, even standing on all the roofs. I got there several hours early in order to have an unobstructed view. The backward boots were his riding boots, lots of very impressive military from all branches. It was one of the most respectful things I have ever witnessed. And the thing that struck me about the crowd was how diversified; all ages, races, and ethnic backgrounds, even a lot of foreigners. But when the casket came by, it was so quite that you could have heard a pen drop. It was one of those events that will always remain in your memory.

Default USAF Academy Photos

In-Processing: when the newest cadets arrive for basic training in the summer.

And graduation, when they march to the stadium, receive their diplomas, take their oath of office, the Thunderbirds fly over and they throw their hats four years later.
