Default Why no E-620 Postings??

The Olympus E-620 has been on the market for several months, the prices, at least on the E-620 camera body have been falling with regularity.

But we have not seen many E-620 photo samples or even postings on this forum, what gives??

I count 17 posts where the E-620 was mentioned, including yours.

If you want to see pictures taken with the E-620 suggest you go to the following link where there are 300 E-620 pictures posted:

Default Good Question, Sarah

It is indeed a bit of a puzzle to me, in that, there appears to be no shortage of E-620 posts, samples, and discussions at DPreview. Yet here, it's as if the camera doesn't exist. It's especially puzzling due to the fact that it's probably got the best reviews of any of the Olympus dslr cameras. And, as you've pointed out, the prices are falling.

Its just because we (the regular posters here) don't own one.

Why don't we own one? I'll speak for myself.

The reason I don't have one is because I'm satisfied with my E-3. I have my under-used E500 as a backup, and I'm much more likely to spend extra on other lenses and accessories.

Another reason its not for me is because I shoot alot of big, bulky telephoto lenses and the benefit of the compact E620 would be lost. Even when I go looking for bugs, the macro setup with ringflash is better supported with a bit larger camera.

I'm sure the E620 is a great camera, but its just not on my list. If the E500 packed it in, maybe??? But maybe the E420 or E520 as they are selling for a song right now. I just think its a personal thing, an economic thing, and a relatively small cross section of Oly shooters here.

Yeah Greg I have the 510 so I'm more interested in posts relating to that or the 520. If someone here had one I'm sure you would see more posts on it. From what I've read though the 620 is pretty nice.

Default Thinking About the E-620

Thanks for the prompt replies. Perhaps one of the group will soon get an E-620. Perhaps it will be me. I am seriously considering the E-620.

Here is what I can do with the E-420 using the new Zukio 50-150 mm lens. My thoughts are that things should get even better if I am using the E-620. What do you think?

Default 100% Crop of the Above Posted Photo

Because small posted photos do not adequately show fine detail, here is a 100% crop of a portion of the above photo.
