Default A mother butterfly laying her eggs

Hi gang: Recently I was out with the camera and saw a butterfly flying erratically around a plant. The butterfly was laying her eggs in several spots on the plant. Interesting sight, and one that I had never witnessed before.

Dang, that's sharp, even this small. Really well done.

I just blew it up on your Smugmug site. Really nice.

Steven,
.....what Greg said !!! This is super nice.

I had a giant swallowtail playing about the penta bed this week but no photos. It never settled down, just buzzing the plants then high up around the tree, again and again.

......Dustin (Hards80), very good to see you here, seems to have been a long while. How about Washington U @ St. Louis, did you finish the phD or are you still working at it? Are you still making photos.

Hi gang: Just an FYI. I forgot to mention that the shot was taken with the 14-42mm kit lens on an E-330.

I am sometimes amazed by how good this lens is for the very little money that it cost. (--plus you can carry it around all day without getting tired; -important for us old guys!)

The butterfly was very animated, and fluttered her wings very rapidly when laying the eggs. She would pause the wings briefly every few seconds, and I managed to get a few with the wings at rest.
