Default sample images using the 12-60mm SWD

I had an opportunity, yesterday, to take a few images using the 12-60mm. Here are a few samples of late season flowers from a small park near the house.

This is a shot of a salmon fly using the 12-60mm

For comparison, this is one taken using the Sigma 18-50mm. I thought it only fair to the Sigma lens to include in this post.
as there is nothing wrong with te image quality of this lens. I didn't want to give anyone the wrong impression and have anyone think there is something amiss with this particular lens. On the contrary, the lens (IMHO) is very sharp.

I've got a few more but need to work on downloading them to a new photo site.

A couple more taken the day b4

This is a quick candid of my better half using the soft focus filter. I think
it's my best attempt at getting a decent result with overexposing.

I really like the colors and layout of #1. Why not go for POTD?

Very cute image of your wife, Zig! The soft-focus filter made for a really nice effect.

The 12-60 Zuiko can really focus close for a lens not advertized as a macro. You made very good use of it, too.

Hi all,

Thanx for the kind comments. I was actually surprised to see these in bloom this late in the year. We've had some awfully cold nights these last few days and the first flower caught my eye with it's colors.

Greg, as for the candid of my wife, she liked the results. I once showed her a photo I had taken of her using a 50mm 2.0 macro I was really pleased with it's sharpness, she took one look at it and walked away. I never did take another photo of her with that lens.
