Default Gettin' COLD...

... at the feeders. Woke up to 33 degrees F and spittin' snow. Probably the last of the E410 shots.

Hi gary

That first pic is very nice... great detail and how the heck did you get so close to it ?? !! I liked no 2 but it looks as if the bird moved and the focus moved slightly (the feet are tack sharp). The colours are great .. a little saturated on my lappy but nice and punchy.

Cheers

Harj

Thanks, Harj! He was about 20 feet away shot with the Not-so-big-Ma, I actually had to back off a little. For #2, I had quite a breeze and the branch he was on probably shifted. I just picked up a new monitor and I'm still "calibrating" which is why it's a tad saturated and I'm still not used to shooting in Manual full-time (a pact I made with myself a week ago) instead of other modes.

This last series of images using the E-410 are, to me, the best bird images that you posted. (I have to say, though, that your flower images have always been spot on and some of the best detail I've seen.)

By not-so-big-mama, I guess you're referring to the Sigma 55-200mm/T-CON17 combo. Or, have I got it wrong?

Zig

I bet you can't wait to get the E-620?

Thanks so much, Harj! Yup... that's the NSBM!
