Default For all my northern Oly forum members this winter: Try to keep warm!

After looking at the weather reports this evening, I thought you might like some of my local shots to show some of the winter sights that I have to put up with here in the wintertime.

Steven, this is NOT funny. (grin)

We're looking at a forecast in the DC metro area of 2' of snow by Sunday, which would be a record for here in December. Actually I would really enjoy being inside watching the snowfall, if I wasn't worried about losing power (i.e. heat).

But right now it looks like it may be worse for Zig. Not as much snow but strong winds. He'll probably get a lot of flies tied this weekend.

............ 60's daytime mid 40's nighttime DFW-Tx thru Wed 23rd !! Typical TX weather, when it is freezing at Greg C's place we have a heat wave in Arlington... 40 miles away.

Thanks for your kind words. I'll be back on tomorrow (god willing and the creek don't rise) - got a new toy and will let you know about it. Ran out of gas playing with it - gonna crash now.

Hi Guys,

Sounds like we're in for the real deal this time. Just looked at the forcast for the Cape and it does sound ominous. 12 to 18 predicted.

Ted, I share the same concerns. When we lose power, we lose eveythng including water -since we have a well.

Right now, my wife and I are babysitting the grandkiddies about a 150miles north of home. Sounds like we have a short window of opportunity to get on the road and get home before all heck breaks loose.

Steven and Bob, thanks for your concerns.

Hi Steven,

Don't mean to hijack your thread but when the weather turns lousy up here, I usually pull out some photos that make me smile.

Good luck to all you guys. In my work travel I have been stuck in enough of that kind of weather to know that it's not fun. Hopefully the electricity will stay on.

(However, whenever I'm working up north, the locals always pick on me, asking how I could live in such a hot place, and put up with alligators and hurricanes!)

P.S. It not even officially winter yet, must be all that global warming going on!
