Zig: I hope there is something left to photograph. When I let the dogs outside at lunchtime, I heard this strange sound - IT WAS SLEETING in Valrico Florida!!!. We are forecast to go down to the low to mid 20s tonight, and MIAMI ! may get down to 32 !!. (The iguanas were freezing and dropping out of the trees in southwest Florida last night.) I expect the rest of my flowers to be killed off tonight. I hope there is something left to photograph when you get here in March.

With the tilt we are in for a total earth make over so be prepared to either stick it out wade through it maybe even paddle it or just slide right on out with the change of the landscapes .. other wise to all who have the sun on their side please send us some to dry us up before the freeze comes.... waiting with all crosses...

Sounds like a miserable day to be running in a marathon in Miami today.
Current temps at 6am is 33degrees.

Welcome to sunny sub-tropical Florida. Here is a quick photo of my bird-bath taken this morning

And many of the flower stems were covered in white ice, it had the texture of the frost ice that builds up inside a kitchen freezer.
I've not seen that down here ever before.
