Default HD Video Tests and Photography Series with E-P2

Hi all,

Thought I'd share some video clips from my new E-P2 that I bought about 2 weeks ago. I create a photography series on YouTube, as well as have plans for a music video and short films in the near future, so I thought I'd get a better camera to replace my Casio EX-F1. And I lucked out with the E-P2 as I can use all of my four-thirds lenses (as I also have an E-500 and E-3) to create more cinematic effects; plus I can finally have full manual control when in movie mode.

Here's the link to my YouTube Channel where you can find the samples: http://www.youtube.com/binarygraphite

There are two video tests, the first one of my dog using an 8mm fisheye lens ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWiQupqMnxM ) and the next with the 50mm macro ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK8ZJVybtoU ).

Also, two of my episodes are shot with the Pen:
Episode 9: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6yjMqDCp0s
Episode 9a: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZB8DDNq06s

Simply put, I'm quite impressed with the video quality. The thing I have to be careful of is focusing, as the DOF is smaller than with the Casio. But that's not really a fault of the camera, just me being a little lazy to properly focus.

I'm certainly looking forward to using this camera for future work, starting with my next episode that I might shoot today or tomorrow.

Imre.

Very nice job, youtube video was very informative.

Like the quality of the pen camera's video. I feeling allot more confident that is will be the right travel camera to augment my DSLR.

Thank you -=edge=-, boBB, and shoturtle for the kind comments!

I just finished my 10th episode on 3D photography and this time I focused with a stand-in for me (I just used a light stand). The results are much better and indeed the image is quite sharp. The compression on YouTube is a bit harsh, but the original files look very good.
