Default Did someone say Sunset?

Well, with all the great sunset shots recently posted, I thought I'd add another to the group.

This is one taken last evening using an E-30 with the 12-60mm SWD lens
@12mm f.l.,ISO200, f5, 1/250sec. -1/3 Ex Comp

One thing is sure, each nite brings a completely different range of colors
for your eyes to feast upon.

Default Airboat ride through the Everglades a bit if a bust.

Well, we went on our airboat ride yesterday. While it was pretty interesting, the skies didn't cooperate. As soon as we got on the boat it started to shower and as soon as we arrived at the dock about an hour later, the showers stopped. The camera never came out from behind my rain jacket.

But we did manage to take a couple of shots later in the day when we visited a swamp and Rockery Bay wildlife center this morning.

All taken with the E-30 and either a 12-60mm or the 70-300mm

Great stuff Zig! The 70-300 shots really look good. It all looks good. Love the reflection shot in the harbor.

I see Nomar retired as a Red Sox player and just slid into a seat at ESPN.

Now they're good! The Osprey is my fav. bird, not a flattering pose but good to see them. We get the Pileated in the yard here, along with the Downy, Hairy and Lewis. Funny to see the Pileated on a palm tree, it's all evergreen up here. Nice pics, got to break my 70-300 out soon.

Love the beach palapas (Mexican name) but your sunsets have a little bluish touch to them, noticed the one in your last post. How's you WB setting..?

Hi Ken,

The sunset was shot with the E-30 set to pop art mode. This tends to exaggerate the colors a bit with the blues and reds being the two most affected. Usually, I do some PP in Adobe ACR5.6 and adjust the WB and tone down the colors to suit my preferences.

Hi Steven,

Nice photo of the Parrot.

Looks like I'm heading north bit to Naples today as the weather isn't cooperating. Might try to get into the Naples Zoo and see if I can take advantage of the aviary there.

Not surprised to hear he retired. I am surprised he signed a 1 day contract with the Red Sox so that he could 'officially retire' as a member of the Sox.

He was always a good ballplayer and I loved to see him play. But I'm convinced that the last year he played with the Sox, he was traded just before the July deadline and if he hadn't been traded, the Sox would have never won the World Series that year. By that time, he was so unhappy, that he was a detriment to the team. Right after the trade, the Sox were rejuvenated and played great.
