Default Saturday's NHL action with the E30 and 50-200 SWD

Thanks for everyone's comments about the images from Thursday.

I had no problem getting the E30 and 50-200 SWD into the game today (Saturday afternoon). With the faster lens, I used most of the same settings I used Thursday with the exception I upped the shutter speed to 1/1000 second, manually set the white balance (still had to make a few color corrections in PP) and turned the noise filter down to Low.

I agree with Harj and Charles that these represent possibly your best hockey images to date.

The images are remarkably clean.

I should have tried taking this lens long ago. You just have to be turned away somewhere by security once to get a little shy about trying. The time or two it has happened to me (college football games), others coming in around you look at you like you were trying to smuggle a gun into the place.

I am now a certified JPEG-only shooter with the E30.
