Zig, I love being out on the ocean - you're killing me.

Great shots though.

Great job zig; I'm jealous!

I live here, and have yet to get a wild dolphin shot as good as yours. (Every time I saw wild dolphins from a boat it was either a rainy, gray day, or I didn't have my camera. I don't count Sea World shots.)

Glad you're getting up to the Tampa area. You should visit the Lowery Park Zoo or Busch Gardens while you are here. I'll probably go to one or both this weekend. (Or are you coming here just to see the NY Yankees play!!)

P.S. to Greg: If you are going to San Francisco in June, then dress warmly. I've worked there enough to know first hand that summers are very cool there!

At the Sox game, be sure to keep your camera trained on 3rd if Beltre is playing. After seeing him for the last 5 years I can say you guys are in for a treat when he's on defense.

As for the shots, what can I say that others haven't already said better?

Hi Steven,

I'm actually going to see the Red Sox play the Orioles in Ed Smith Stadium on Saturday. I'm hooking up with a long time friend who worked for the same firm I did. Unfortunately, we're not going to have enough time to do much other than the game. But that will give me good reason to come back and visit next year.

John,

I can't wait to see Beltre at third for the Sox. The Red Sox have been fortunate to have a number of great third basemen play for them. But Adrian may be in a class by himself.

Hi Ted,

I know how you feel. I've been here almost 6 weeks now and that was the 3rd time out on the water for me. Not looking for sympathy- but it's just not been as good as it usually is here this time of year.

Went through the myriad of shots I took of the Dolphins the other day and found this one which I overlooked:

Zig, that last shot you posted is a true classic, the detail that lens renders continues to amaze me, the water ripples on the sides of the dolphins bodies is eye catching. I need to use my 50-200 more often, it gets left in the bag a lot of the time.

Hi Charles,

My personal favorite is the 50-200mm ED lens. It's the one that's attached to the E-30 when stored in my kit bag. It only comes off when I put the 12-60mm on for wide angle shots.

Someday I might upgrade to the SWD version. But this one is so much fun to use that I've not been motivated to change.

...yeah Zig!

Wonderfully beautiful shots of the dolphins, especially the last.

You do know my feelings regarding the 50-200, I've had mine for 4 years and it gets a workout... I'm heading to Lubbock, TX (5 hours) today for games tonight and tomorrow, hopefully a lot of 50-200 files.

Sounds like y'all are having a good time, enjoy the Sox game tomorrow.
